My Regime is as follows...

I am usign the "Curly Girl Method"

I don't use any products with cones and no sulfates

I only low poo 1 time every two weeks

I co-wash every day and night with V05 conditioner

Then I apply the TIGI Bed Head Moisture Maniac Conditioner as a leave- in conditioner

I sleep with a satin cap on every night

I don't comb my hair or brush it

I am a child of God, Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Friend. I have decided to create a blog spot for women who are newly natural. I want to share my hair journey from beginning until... I used to be nautral for five years, but I always wore my hair pressed out with a flat iron. I never educated myself about nautral hair care before I went natural, therefore, I didn't know how to style it, maintain it, manage it, or even be confident with it. After so much heat, obviously came heat damage!!! Yikes!!! :( when I would wash or wet my hair, it would not curl up at all anymore. I eventually started cutting my hair shorter and shorter to get rid of the damage, but I still wasn't satifyed with the the permed hair! ( No versatility) After about 3 months of research about natural hair care and reading and hearing different testimonies of women that had been through the same experiences, I was encouraged to start all over and stick to it!!!

On Tuesday, October 20, 2009, I woke up and felt the urge and anxiousness to begin my journey to beign 100% natural!!! Yaaaaayyyy!!! I told my husband, who was very supportive, that I was ready to cut my hair completely off and he grabbed his clippers and we started cutting!!! I ended up at his barber to get the final touches and there I was!!! BALD!!!! Yikes!!! But I loved it 100% and I immediately felt so condifident without any hair!!! I didn't transition or anything...

Since my big chop, I hve been in love with my "God Given Glory"!!! I have been experiemnting and learning and loving my hair!!! It has been such an experience and I haven't looked back yet!!! With the support of my hubby and family and friends, I don't regret it at all!!! I will be updating with photos on a regular basis for tips and advice for anyone who needs it!!! I am open to disccusions and questions that anyone may have!!! Please join in and let's share stories as we go through our hair journey back to our God Given Glory that we all started out with at birth!!! I will also be doing reviews when I can on different products that I will be experimenting with... and I will list my regime and my staple products right now!!!
